“The 2018 Farmstead Pinot Noir is a multi-block blend from LMR’s Anderson Valley Estate vineyard. The wine is garnet red in appearance. It has aromas of earthy strawberry, black cherry, and cranberry with subtle oak spice. Pretty hints of violet and fresh thyme come out of the glass. The palate has a supple entry, red berry fruits in the mid and a long finish supported by the acid structure with lingering notes of cranberry and savory herbs.” — Tim Wilson

GROWING SEASON

The growing season was marked by a wet spring, The early summer was cool and mild allowing gradual ripening and acid development. Winemakers had to wait, watch and let berry chemistry and flavors come into balance before starting a relatively late harvest.
