Join us at our Anderson Valley Tasting Room for a truffle talk and wine pairing with Maria Finn and her dog Flora Jayne. Maria will give a talk about the history of truffles and how they so thoroughly seduce humans, as well as their vital roles in the ecosystem and their cultivation. She and her truffle hound, Flora Jayne, will do a truffle hunting demonstration and she’ll explain how she’s trained her dog to find our native truffles and how you can start training your dog. Afterward, we’ll do a truffle tasting and wine pairing with Long Meadow Ranch wines.
Tasting Menu:
Native Oregon Spring White Truffle with Strauss butter served on warm gougéres.
Perigord Truffle infused in and shaved over triple cream cow cheese served with brioche toast squares.
Artichoke salad with Burgundy truffles and truffle-infused aioli.
Pavolova (fruity, jammy Oregon Black Truffle) topped with truffle-infused egg whites and whipped cream sprinkled with rose petals and tangerine zest.
Each course will be paired with one of our Anderson Valley wines.
