LMR Ranch House Red Label

LMR Ranch House Red is an "E-Z" drinking wine perfect for a gathering of family and friends. The label features one of our first Appaloosa horses, "E-Z", who also worked as Ted’s personal horse. We felt that his (the horse's) relaxed, good-natured temperament perfectly captured the spirit of this “easy” drinking red wine.

The $19 per bottle price also makes Ranch House Red a perfect match for any informal gathering.

Ranch House Red is a favorite at Laddie’s St. Helena Farmer’s Market stand as a companion to LMR Grass-fed Beef Hot Dogs or Hamburgers. Ranch House Red is ideal for backyard BBQs with friends and family.

Ranch House Red is a proprietary blend of estate-grown wines from Long Meadow Ranch. We have carefully selected lots that can provide immediate wine-drinking pleasure.

With Ranch House Red, vineyard manager Frank Leeds and winemaker Ashley Heisey are producing an everyday wine that truly meets our highest standards.

WINEMAKER'S TASING NOTES
2005 LMR RANCH HOUSE RED

"This vintage of Ranch House Red has a remarkably deep and dark garnet color. It exudes the character of the place. All the best LMR flavors are present - vibrant black currant fruit, earthiness and incredible spice notes. But you know this wine isn't a Cabernet Sauvignon because its complex fruit character is completely fresh, approachable and spicy. There is a difference between spice from fruit and spice from oak. This wine has all its spice (mostly white and black pepper) from its fruit. This wine is perfectly balanced and ready for the table. Its tannins are ample, but soft. A pleasant backbone of acidity results in a mouthwatering, lingering finish." - Ashley Heisey
